Enlightening the lives of underprivileged children

While rural youth unemployment often stems from lack of adequate education, even educated youth often do not get work. An unemployment rate of educated youth is getting higher for less-educated youth. This is often because these educated youth are not skilled in the fields in which they are in demand. This is mainly due to the fact that India has a very limited number of technical, vocational, income and employment generating small skill-building programs to equip the youth for the massive economic opportunities that are opening up.

Come, join our mission to Educate Every Last Child! We address the learning crisis by preparing children and adolescents for life, work, and active citizenship. Over the years, we have faced a multitude of issues but undeterred, we have devised several solutions that help us continue sharing the gift of education with underprivileged children. Ayaansh Welfare Trust's core area of expertise lies in emedial education where we deliver targeted academic support to weaker students to mainstream them and help rebuild their engagement in school. Furthermore, we take a holistic approach by impacting school climate, infrastructure, emotional wellbeing, extracurricular and sports.

Every child has the right to learn

According to a case study, 90% of the current jobs in India are ‘skill-based’ and require skill-building training, but only 6% of the population receives any type of training. One obvious difference in terms of both quality and quantity is skill: the current vocational education and training infrastructure is not designed to meet the needs of the industry which is causing a huge shortage in the job market.

We are trying to provide educational material to these poor children who attend school run by NGOs. We distribute notebook, pencil, school bag, slates as per our every visit. We help children unlock their potential and realize their dreams. We believe that every child is extraordinary and can scale great heights if provided with the right learning opportunities. With regular and generous contributions from our supporters, we are able to march steadily towards achieving these goals. We are committed to ensure that all children, irrespective of their origin, are able to go to school, play, interact and learn with other children of their age.

HELP CHANGE A CHILD’S LIFE, FOREVER BY LITERACY

Our multidimensional and long term approach allows us to be a part of the child’s development journey from the early to later stages. We also engage with stakeholders such as teachers, government bodies, parents and communities, to bring about sustainable change, keeping in mind academic interests as well as the emotional and physical needs of the learners. Ayaansh Welfare Trust, an NGO for education which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. Ayaansh Welfare Trust, an NGO for poor child education believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there's no better place to start than in the corridors of education. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.

The target rural community is far behind the general population in India’s literacy rate and level of education. If they send children to school, most families stop their children’s education early, as the industry has a tendency to absorb a large number of young workers and do so on their own due to lack of education and alternative skills unable to find. In these situations, a cooperative society for women solves most of their problems and makes them self-reliant.

We counsel parents from humble backgrounds to send their children to school and assist them through the admission process. In schools, we make learning fun. We train teachers to impart learning using child-friendly and interactive teaching-learning methods. In classrooms, we encourage and help children to undertake learning activities in groups. This makes the entire experience much more fun and promotes healthy competition.
