Restoring Health and facilitating nutrition

India has made rapid strides in the health sector since independence. However, various eye opening data indicate that access to healthcare still remains a challenge. While the health statistics of rural India continue to be poor, the health status and access to health for the poor in urban slum dwellers has surfaced to be equally deplorable and have less than 4% of government primary healthcare facilities. Urban slum dwellers suffer from adverse health conditions owing to mainly two reasons – first the lack of education and thus lack of awareness; and second the unwillingness to lose a day’s wage in order to reach the nearest medical facility. Healthcare for underprivileged, which is a desperate need, thus remains unaddressed.

The second wave of COVID has devastated India and Delhi too has been critically affected by the crisis. So to help COVID-19 infected patients who are in urgent need of oxygen therapy, we are providing them with oxygen concentrators but we need your support to secure more devices. We need help to save lives. Ayaansh Welfare Trust, we are focused on providing high quality primary care in low cost to the poor and underprivileged communities in New Delhi. We work towards the simple goal of reliable, affordable and quality health care services to the marginalized communities that do not have access to these services or even the basic knowledge on how to access them.

Help malnourished people

Our NGO is planning to work in close collaboration with nearest local health facilities forroutine diagnosis and treatments. Our healthcare initiatives aim to increase demand for and improve accessibility, availability and affordability of essential healthcare services. We believe that a healthy mother and a healthy baby is the route to a productive, developed nation. Hence, we have specially focused upon providing relevant solutions through our health camp. We work towards awareness program to people for the root causes of healthcare challenges, provide innovative solutions and quality healthcare services in India. We definitely need your helping hand to come ahead with us to overcome health problems and solutions in our surroundings.

Health camps are conducted at regular intervals to diagnose and treat people with ailments. A large camp is set-up for the entire community, even for neighboring villages to ensure that everyone gets proper care. If a more severe ailment is diagnosed, a prescription is issued and the patients are given referrals to get the right treatment, and at subsidized rates. The foundation provides continuous support through free medication, by conducting the camps regularly and even by following up on referred patients.

Reaching the unreached

An important objective of these camps is also to educate the local population with basic knowledge of nutrition, first aid and physical health care and monitoring. When an overall healthy lifestyle is promoted, these communities become self-sustaining and can grow further, one step at a time.

We are currently engaged in reaching out to the daily wage earners and underprivileged families, residing in New Delhi, with food, masks and soaps. With no income during nation-wide lockdown, these families lost access to the most basic necessity - food. Countless have been going without food for days and their very survival is now at risk. At Ayaansh Welfare Trust, our efforts are now focused on their health and safety.

Cure for the world!

While our food kits of rations - rice, pulses, potatoes, oil, salt and biscuits - are providing them with sustenance, the masks and soaps are protecting them against the virus. We are working with the communities, whose homes and livelihood have been severely affected the by catastrophic calamity.

We are focused on both dry rations as well as cooked meals, depending on the needs of the affected people. The damage from Covid-19 has been severe. With many have lost their homes, materials such as tarpaulins and mosquito nets are being provided to keep them safe. Illness and ailments often follow after virus attack. Our medical camps are providing free treatment to the poor.
